The château, originally a medieval castle, was transformed into a residence in the 16th century and was lived in until 1987. This visit, 15 rooms in all, will present you from kitchen to roof top all the characteristics of a typical seignorial residence, and what’s more, furnished with authentic objects and furniture and offering some magnificent views of the Loire.

From the 11th century, this hexagonal-shaped château is surrounded by ravines and a moat in which are displayed replicas of old artillery.

The catapult demonstration is unique in the region and attracts numerous tourists who are also able to discover the art of besieging a town, actually by playing the roles of the medieval warriors and taking part in the stone-throwing with a medieval machine.
